- The Quarter Guard by the Royal Saint Christopher and Nevis Coast Guard with rifle will take up position on the quarry and present arms on the arrival of the VIP. The latter, making a brief pause acknowledges salute with a slight bow of the head. He then proceeds through the Quarter Guard and up the gangway. Any lady boarding the ship is received by a hand salute.
- The VIP is received by side pipe (She will be seen off at the top of the gangway by the commanding Officer and side pipe while she or he goes down the gangway.
Functions
- The Diplomatic and Consular Corps is invited to attend celebrations of Festivals, Christmas and Carnival organized by the Ministry of Culture or New Year’s Ball, hosted Prime Minister or that of the Leader of the opposition.
- Non-resident Ambassador/High Commissioner accredited to Saint Kitts and Nevis may be invited to attend National / Independence Day celebrations ceremonial receptions and banquets.
- Honorary Consuls General and Honorary Consuls also are invited to the National / Independence Day celebrations as well as ceremonial receptions and banquets.
- Invitations to various official functions are issued by the hosting of the Ministry /Office
- The Office pf Protocol would upon request, provide assistance only for drafting the Order of Precedence and the seating plan.
