Taipei, Republic of China (Taiwan) (3rd November 2025) — A two-month exhibition in honour of Saint Kitts and Nevis’ 42nd Anniversary of Independence and the establishment of diplomatic relations with the Republic of China (Taiwan) culminated with a special ceremony and fashion show on Saturday, November 1st, 2025.

The Tungxing Bridge in Tianmu near the Diplomatic Quarter, where the office of the Embassy of Saint Kitts and Nevis is located, was decorated with flags and banners to create awareness about Saint Kitts and Nevis and spark community dialogue.

Residents gathered for a brief ceremony and cultural fashion show that demonstrated the bond of friendship between the allied countries.

At the closing ceremony, His Excellency Ambassador Donya L. Francis modelled in a custom-made Chinese Traditional wear alongside Ambassador of Belize to the Republic of China (Taiwan) Her Excellency Katherine Meighan, embassy staff and Saint Kitts and Nevis nationals, members of Qipao Culture and Arts Exchange Association and residents of Tian Shou Village.

“The people of Tian Shou Village, Tianmu and Taiwan as a whole are a friendly people, and it is always a pleasure to engage with them, people-to-people, sharing in our common values and amity,” said Ambassador Francis.

Ambassador Francis expresses thanks to all the co-organizers, sponsors and other partners who made this exhibition and closing ceremony a glowing success.

The closing ceremony was co-organized and sponsored by Mr Chen Botong, Chief of Tian Shou Village, Hechi Wu Qipao & Tang Suit Company, Lida Interior Design & Decoration Co., Ltd., Qipao Culture and Arts Exchange Association and Frontier Jewelry Co., Ltd.

The ‘Bridge of Celebrations’ exhibition was sponsored by Mike Hung, President of Mike Hung Product Co, Ltd.
